Meet Our Owner

Professor Cliff

Cliff Fonseca

3rd Degree Black Belt

I have been practicing Jiu Jitsu for 22 years, under Luiz Palhares and running academies over the same period of time. I opened One Nation Jiu Jitsu in March of 2010 and it’s been our home ever since. I was an active competitor for majority of my career, slowing in recent years as age and priorities would have me do. My focus is the day to day operations, the staff, our students and parents. Ensuring everyone has what they need to succeed on and off the mats.

Jeovany Ortiz

Jeovany Ortiz

1st Degree Black Belt

I am a black belt under Cliff Fonseca and one of the head instructors at One Nation Jiu Jitsu. I was exposed to Jiu Jitsu at the age of 9.  At the age of 13 I began competing and have been successful throughout my career to current. One of my main priorities is to provide world class instruction and help our students accomplish their goals. Outside of Jiu Jitsu, I love spending time with family and friends.
Tyler Jackson

Tyler Jackson

1st Degree Black Belt

Professor Tyler began his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu journey with Professor Cliff in 2013. As a high school athlete, he was looking for something challenging to lose weight after a major shoulder surgery. He dove himself into Jiu Jitsu and lost over fifty pounds in six months!

Professor Tyler received his Bachelors of Science in Education from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2014. Professor Tyler manages the front desk and runs our Afterschool and Summer Camp Programs. He has dedicated his life to learning and teaching Jiu Jitsu. His main goal is to make a difference in children and adults alike through the activity he loves.

Ryan Coleman

Instructor

Ryan Coleman – I am a purple belt under Cliff Fonseca and Jeovany Ortiz. I started practicing Jiu Jitsu after signing my son up for the summer program at One Nation in 2019. I immediately fell in love with grappling. I played team sports my entire life, but have never felt more part of a team until joining One Nation. I started teaching as a fill in at blue belt. In June of 2023, I started coaching our 6 a.m. classes. My style of teaching is a little different and I focus on being collaborative during the class. I don’t know all the answers and always welcome different perspectives. This is the beautiful thing about our art, it can be interpreted in so many ways and there is always more than one answer.
